 Aruba Honeymoon Cost

How much is the average honeymoon to Aruba? The average traveler to Aruba spends about $3600 on a one-week trip. Your Aruba honeymoon cost will depend on where you stay when you go, and what you do, but here are some general guidelines.

Aruba honeymoon resorts will range from $250 to $450 and up per night, while Aruba honeymoon resorts all all-inclusive prices tend to range from about $400 to $750 or more a night. For example, Barcelo Aruba starts at around $400, while the Ritz-Carlton Aruba can cost around $6000 per night.

Average lunch prices in Aruba will be around $20-$30, and dinner prices will be $30-$60 or more (both excluding alcohol). Activity prices range, but group tours will be about $70-$80 per person. Private tours would be more expensive.

Aruba Honeymoon: When to Visit

Aruba has wonderfully mild weather, with temperatures around 82⁰F all year long, typically with cooling breezes. Aruba’s low season (meaning fewer crowds and lower prices) is from mid-April to mid-December. Look for travel deals in September, when the trade winds die down and the temperature feels warmer.

Mid-December through mid-April is the high season when you’ll find more crowds and higher accommodation prices. In the weeks leading up to Carnival (between January and March), the island hosts many music and cultural events. October through January are the wettest months, so expect short bursts of rain.

Aruba is located outside of the hurricane belt, so you can honeymoon in Aruba with confidence during the summer and fall.

Aruba Honeymoon Activities

Aruba is an island paradise with tons of things to do. You can hike along ancient land bridges carved out by the ocean, or climb over dunes on the north side and see the California Lighthouse. But there are plenty more options as well. You can find the right activities to fill your time while experiencing the beauty of Aruba. For a complete list of things to do in Aruba on your honeymoon, check out our article “The 28 Best Things to Do in Aruba.”

Take a Jeep Tour

You can take a jeep tour through the Arikok National Park. For completely different scenery from the white-sand beaches, tour this ecological preserve, which is home to all sorts of wildlife including donkeys, migratory birds, iguanas, parakeets (and Aruban rattlesnakes, so wear sturdy shoes and watch where you step). There are also ancient Arawak paintings here, as well as ruins of plantations and traditional Aruban dwellings. Make sure to stop at the natural pool, where you can go swimming and snorkeling.

Get a Couples Massage

Spend an indulgent few hours in Spa Cove and treat yourselves to a secluded couples massage on a private beach, just a ferry ride away from Aruba. (Or head to the spa at your resort, if you have one.)

Go Scuba Diving and Snorkeling

You can go scuba diving and snorkeling in Aruba, which is home to many reef beaches ideal for snorkeling. Pick up a mask (complimentary in some hotels) and head to Mangel Halto, Puerto Chiquito, or Catalina Cove, or book a boat and explore the famous underwater Antilla shipwreck.

Relax on a Beauty Aruba Beach

Aruba is known for having some of the best beaches in the world, giving you plenty of choices for relaxing beach time on your honeymoon. Two of the best beaches in Aruba are Eagle Beach and Palm Beach.

Eagle Beach was named the number one Caribbean beach in a USA Today survey. It is the widest beach in Aruba, giving you plenty of room to spread out. There are picnic areas and rental options for watersports. A few months out of the year you may even see sea turtles hatching.

Palm Beach was named by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the best beaches in the world. You’ll find the Hyatt Regency, Marriott, Occidental Grand Aruba, Ritz Carlton, and other top Aruba honeymoon resorts located here, so these are great choices if you want to stay on this beach.  Enjoy relaxing or swimming in the calm turquoise waters.

For windsurfing, kiteboarding, and good snorkeling, head to Hadicurari Beach. Another excellent snorkeling beach is Malmok Beach. Baby Beach offers shallow, calm waters for a peaceful beach experience. One of the best beaches on Aruba for surfing is Dos Playa Beach.

Explore Different Areas of the Island

Exploring the charming and compact capital city of Oranjestad is a must-do in Aruba, if only for the exuberant and colorful architecture. Wander the streets of this port city and browse the shops featuring local crafts; stop for a refreshing drink or delicious meal; or ride the free streetcar that circles the city for a breezy tour. Be sure to stop at the Local Market and the Cosecha Gallery, and take a break in the lovely Queen Wilhelmina Park.

Rent a car and see the island. Four-wheel drive will give you access to off-road destinations (such as hidden beaches). For the truly adventurous, see the island by motorcycle! Try stopping to drink from a freshly chopped coconut at a roadside stand, such as the one near Sero Colorado.

Experience the Local Cuisine

If you have a car, drive to Tia Rosa Snack in Pos Chikito and order a patacon, a prize-winning, mouth-watering Venezuelan/Colombian sandwich consisting of shredded meat, queso blanco, and a few more magical ingredients stuffed between two fried plantain patties. Lounge around on Mangel Halto beach as you digest.

Eat fresh seafood at Zeerovers. Touted as the best fish and chips on the island, this boat-to-table seafood restaurant in Savaneta is built out over the water. Order your food, watch them fry it up, and pick a table on the open-air deck with a view of the boats that bring in the catch of the day.

For dessert, head to House of Cakes – choose a few slices and sample the local flavors, such as their famous cashew cake.

Have a Romantic Dinner and Experience Local Nightlife

In the evening, have a romantic dinner. You can dine at your resort, on the water, or savor your own sunset picnic on the beach beneath the stars.

Afterward, check out the nightlife. Aruba is known as a party island, and there is plenty to do here after the sun sets, whether you want to go dancing, hear live music, or just enjoy tropical drinks. In Palm Beach, you’ll find lots of nightclubs, music venues, and swanky lounges. One of the most popular nightclubs for dancing is Gusto.

For a casual drink with your toes in the sand, head to Moomba Beach Bar. For free salsa lessons on Wednesday, go to the Bugaloe Beach Bar and Grill.
